About the role:

The main purpose of the role of Study Coach is to work with our dedicated learning support team, providing support to students who have additional educational needs and difficulties. Some of these will include, ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Global learning delay, Hearing impaired and visual impairment, to name a few.

You will be based within a Faculty area, working with identified students with learning needs. You will be working alongside the tutor and will liaise with them on a lesson by lesson basis. The role also includes some admin work, tracking, attending weekly meetings with learning support and undergoing regular CPD.

We have two permanent, full time, term-time only positions working 46 weeks of the year (0.88 FTE) to fill. We would be interested in applications for this as a part time role, as job share is possible. Please specify your preference on your application form.

What do you need to be succesful as a Study Coach at Activate Learning?

We are seeking like-minded individuals who would contribute to creating an inclusive learning environment, by providing individualised coaching and support to learners with identified barriers to learning, using a range of support models.

Support will take place in differing learning environments including within the classroom, 1:1, in small groups and in subject specific practical sessions. Strong team values, a desire to innovate within the learning experience, and the ability to adapt flexibly to the changing needs of learners are essential.

A minimum requirement of GCSE Math and English or equivalent are also an essential requirement for this role.
