About the role:

Activate Learning have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Learning Advisor to join our Digital Education team, based at City of Oxford College.

As a Group Digital Learning Advisor, you will work with our teaching staff to transform traditional curriculum design into engaging, interactive online learner journeys using instructional design methodologies.

This will include running staff training events and developing activities to support staff in using our learning management system and embedding digital skills and technology into the classroom.

Activate Learning has such a wide variety of mixed reality technologies, such as VR, AR, our immersive spaces, and 3D printers/scanners, that there will be lots of opportunities to be creative in the advice, support and training you will provide our teaching staff to enhance our learner experience.

Permanent, full-time role

Location: City of Oxford College, with opportunities of working from home and may require occasional travel to other sites.

Salary: Up to £31,276 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

What do you need to be a successful Digital Learning Advisor at Activate Learning?

As part of the Digital Education Development team, you must be an excellent communicator with an awareness of online learning and a passion for using technology to support outstanding learning experiences.

The successful candidate will have the enthusiasm to introduce, support and train mixed reality technologies as well as provide generalist training on our learning management system.

We are looking for a high degree of customer service experience and professionalism to underpin the relationship with key stakeholders within the organisation.

About you:

  • Knowledge of Virtual Learning Environments and other digital education resources  
  • Experience delivering customer-facing services to stakeholders with varying levels of digital literacy
  • Knowledge of current and developing learning and teaching practices and their application in educational design, digital and distance learning development.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and operate at all levels
