We now have an exciting opportunity for a HR Assistant to join our dynamic team on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave from August 2022.

Working within a busy front-line HR Services team, the purpose of the role is to provide a professional, high quality, timely and customer focused transactional service for all HR processes in line with our staff journey, including the onboarding of all new staff in line with safer recruitment practices. This is a busy team working to tight deadlines.

This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week, offering a hybrid working model and flexibility to be based at City of Oxford College.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience, preferably within an HR context.
  • Experience of working within a complex services environment, preferably within HR
  • Firm understanding of the principles of delivering professional and responsive service standards with excellent customer service skills
  • Previous experience of using a HR and online recruitment system, and HR Service onboarding processes and requirements.
  • Fully competent in use of Microsoft Office software, including Word, databases such as Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Good attention to detail and able to process large volumes of work quickly and accurately
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve a range of requests by responding to varying circumstances, whilst working within standard processes and procedures
  • A ‘can do’ attitude
