Whether you have industry experience in the Construction trade or have previously worked as a Construction teacher, why not consider sharing your skills by becoming a role model to adults learners who want to learn new skills and enhance their employability prospects within the construction industry.

We are currently looking for a generalist tradesperson to join our training team at Guildford college, to deliver purposeful and practical lessons to our level 1 and 2 students.   

Ideally, you will have a strong background in any/all of the following areas,  

  • Brickwork
  • Construction
  • Carpentry

This role is to predominately teacher 6 hours per day over 36 weeks. Working days and hours are flexible depending on your availability and timetabling. 

What do you need to be a Construction teacher at Activate Learning?

Whilst previous teaching experience or qualifications would be an advantage, it is not an essential requirement. As long as you can demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational Construction teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector. You will have extensive knowledge of the subject area and can engage and interact with people to ensure they are set up to succeed their end goals.  

Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to impart knowledge and skills to a diverse range of adult learners.
