About the role: Work Experience Coordinator

Activate Learning are recruiting for Work Experience Coordinators to join our faculties and support a caseload of students to develop their employability skills and prepare for a work experience placement relevant to their career plans. 

You will work with our faculty teams of learning professionals to deliver ‘Preparation for Placement’ sessions to students and deliver progress tracking sessions throughout the academic year to ensure all students are given the appropriate guidance and support to complete each stage of the work experience process.

You will ensure that all placements are accurately recorded on our work experience placement system and proactively support students and employers throughout the placements, ensuring excellent outcomes for all stakeholders. 

We currently have full-time or term-time only opportunities available, working 37 hours per week. Part time/job share will also be considered.

Location: City of Oxford College, with travel to placement settings and other campuses required at times. Travel/mileage expenses can be claimed for any travel from your base campus. 

Salary: £24,007 - £26,221 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience (pro rata if part time or term time).

We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with the attributes required to progress in the world of work. If you have a genuine interest in supporting students to develop their work readiness and employability skills, then we would love to hear from you.

Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver inspirational individual or group sessions to learners.  

About you: 

  • Experience of one-to-one student support and delivering group sessions to learner groups
  • Excellent communication skills and organisation skills 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise competing deadlines
  • Attention to detail
