We are looking for dedicated and hard-working Learning Support Assistants to join our team at Farnham Sixth form College to start August 2022. 

Job Role:

The successful applicant’s will be supporting students with a range of learning difficulties including Autism on A-Level Courses.

The main duties will be assisting students in their classroom-based lessons and supporting self-directed study times with the student on a 1:1 basis.  
 times.

We have a full time and part time positions available on a fixed term contract until July 2023. When submitting your application, please include a cover letter stating your preferred working hours/days and whether you are looking for full time or part time hours.? 

Please note - The department is open between the hours of 8.30am - 4pm or 9am - 4.30pm and you will need to be able to work within these times.

The hourly rate offered for these positions is from £9.87 - £10.78ph depending on skills and experience.

(Term time only salary calculator - your pay will be based on your working hours per week, multiplied by the number of weeks worked, plus 6 weeks holiday and will be spread equally over 12 months).

(For casual employees you will submit a claim for the actual hours worked and this will be paid in arrears).

What do you need to be successful in this role?

This is a challenging role that requires resilience, motivation, initiative and patience.

You will be able to provide support to students with Autism and associated difficulties. You will have good communication skills to be able to work with tutors to ensure the delivery of an effective programme of further education and to work as part of a co-ordination team.
