RSPB Lochwinnoch is a fantastic and accessible wetland and woodland nature reserve. It is well used by the local community and lies within easy reach of greater Glasgow.  A core aim for the site is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for everyone to connect with nature as well as a place where wildlife can thrive.   We are looking for two people with enthusiasm for managing this site for people and wildlife to join our team.

These 3.5 month seasonal roles will focus on interacting with visitors to the reserve, promoting the site, the work of the RSPB and encouraging people to access nature in a responsible way.  Postholders will also carry out management tasks including habitat management, minor repairs, litter picking and infrastructure work. These roles will be expected to record and report their daily activities and engagements with visitors, including any instances of anti-social behaviour.

The post holders will work closely together, with support from the reserve warden and assistant warden.  These are new, seasonal full-time posts with working hours from 1215 to 2030, Friday to Tuesday, enabling us to extend the hours when the site is staffed, which is currently only until the visitor centre closes at 1715.
