Looking for something different? This is a unique opportunity to work in a fantastic department at The College of West Anglia. We are a successful, community-focused FE College based in the East of England. We have a thriving Landbased faculty and we have a new role available as a Teaching Support Officer in our Animal Care Unit at our Cambridge Campus.  In recent years, the department has grown from strength to strength and we are now at the forefront of vocational education.

We have great facilities on site but are always looking to make improvements to ensure our staff and students have the best possible learning environments. The staff are welcoming, supportive and have a great sense of humour. We work tirelessly to give all our students the best opportunity to succeed, whether that is taking the first step on to the employment ladder or moving into more senior positions. Whilst it is hard work, it is also hugely rewarding.

You will have a Level 2 qualification in Animal Care and proven experience of working within the industry. You must have a first aid certificate or be willing to obtain. You must have a Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE A*-C/9-4) or equivalent or be willing to obtain. A full Driving Licence is essential for this role.

We offer an excellent package including a generous annual leave allowance, plus five College closure days, fee waivers on some College courses, a contributory pension scheme and support with training and development.  Lots of our current lecturing staff started off as support staff so it is an excellent first step on the ladder to becoming a lecturer if that is something you aspire to.

You can now view all our current vacancies on www.cwa.ac.uk and apply on-line should you wish to.

Closing date for receipt of all applications: 12 noon, Friday 1 July 2022
