About the role:

We have an exciting new opportunity for a 14- 16 Key Worker to join our Lifeskills faculty to monitor and lead online tutorials with learners enrolled to our newly developed Activate Your Skills – virtual 14-16 programme.

Working alongside the faculty teams and the Elective Home Education Manager, you will provide an exceptional customer service to ensure our learners have an excellent experience throughout their journey with us.

You will also work closely with local schools and organisations to provide an outstanding 14-16 provision in the college and widen access to information and guidance that will support students to start on the right course and progress into post 16 learning opportunities.

What do you need to be successful as a Key Worker at Activate Learning?

You will have previous experience of working in an educational environment to support young people, along with a good understanding of the potential barriers faced by young people and how to overcome these. Good knowledge of the 14+ education environment is desirable.

In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent communication and customer service skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.  Experience of effective liaison with schools and other key stakeholders would be desirable.
