About the event 

Activate Learning are hosting a careers event for individuals who are considering a career as a Learning Support Assistant to come and learn more about the role as a at Activate Learning. 

What will happen on the day? 

There will be an insightful talk from one of our experienced members of staff sharing their experience as an LSA and giving a brief insight into what a day in the life of an LSA looks like first hand, you will also have the opportunity to ask questions to staff members about the role and what its like working at activate learning.

You will also have the opportunity to join a tour around campus/centre to see what the working conditions are like and see the fantastic space we offer to our students and staff.

About the role

As a Learning Support Assistant at Activate Learning, you will have experience of working with young people or adults with a range of severe, complex, and moderate learning difficulties and/or disabilities and/or behavioural needs.

You will be an individual who has the resilience and patience to develop independence in learners and to encourage them to take more responsibility for their own learning. 
Learning Support Assistants offer essential help to teachers within the classroom, and to offer support to staff and learners within our campuses. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who would like to develop their own skills as a Learning Support Assistant or to progress in the education sector as a teacher Activate offer clear pathways for career progression. 

We are particularly interested in hearing from you if you have a background in any of the following subject areas - 

•    Teaching Assistants 
•    Learning Support Assistants
•    Care workers 
•    Nursery Assistants 
•    Support workers
