Activate Learning are looking to expand our Advice and Admissions team. As part of this, we are now recruiting for Admissions Assistants to join our existing teams, with opportunities based at City of Oxford College, Reading College and Guildford College.

In this role no two days will be the same, from responding to admissions enquiries and providing reception cover, to supporting recruitment events for prospective students.

You will support the Admissions Advisers with their caseload of applicants and contribute to student recruitment and ‘right student, right course’ targets by providing effective admissions support within the college Advice Centre.

We are not necessarily looking for full time applicants and would be happy to consider applications from candidates who are looking for part time opportunities. Please note on your application form your campus preference and working hours, if part time.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

You will have an excellent customer service ethos, a high level of attention to detail and be passionate in achieving excellent results. Strong personal organisation and communication skills are required for this role, along with the ability to use Microsoft Office applications.

In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, with a proactive attitude to problem solving and the ability to work to deadlines.

What are the benefits of this role?

You will be joining our established team of friendly advisers to ensure we deliver and maintain an exceptional service to all customers and in return we can offer a comprehensive development program and buddy system as part of induction, together with peer-to-peer learning, a formal development plan and support at every step of the way to set you up for success.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in expanding their skills in customer service and administrative support within the education sector, as well as a range of transferrable skills. You may not have considered using your skills in this way before, so this could take your career and experience in a new direction and may also present opportunities longer term, to provide you with a varied and fulfilling career path. There really is no limit in terms of your personal growth, development and career by joining one of the largest Education Providers in the UK.

Applications are reviewed and shortlisted on a rolling basis and we reserve the right to interview, appoint and close adverts early due to the volume of applications we receive.
