We are looking for a passionate and inspiring Media Teacher within the Creative Industries Faculty based at Reading College.

This part-time post (currently 0.6 FTE) provides an excellent opportunity for a practitioner/tutor/developing teacher with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning. This role is incredibly varied, where no day is the same and you have the ability to expose students to a wide range of skills including filming, editing, animation, visual effects research techniques and more. We also hope to introduce a qualification in iMedia and Digital Art in 2022/23.

What do you need to be successful in this role?
Successful candidates will have an appropriate professional qualification and/or a degree in film production, media studies or relevant field. We would consider applications from unqualified teachers, with the ability to inspire our learners and a willingness to develop skills within teaching, who have a desire to become qualified.

Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate their desire and ability to work alongside the wider team to continue to develop links with local businesses and the wider community to build and engage students in valuable work experience and project-based learning.

What are the benefits of this role?
The successful candidate will be joining an exciting, forward-thinking, innovative team who work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Creative Industries faculty and you will also be joining one of the largest Education Providers in the UK. You will be provided with peer-to-peer learning, a formal development plan and support at every step of the way to set you up for success. We offer a buddy system, induction modules and a close-knit community across the Group to support the sharing of best practice and encourage individual growth.
